Join the Noyce Program

In collaboration with the Honey W. Nashman Center for Civic Engagement and Public Service, the GW Noyce program provides opportunities for students to immerse themselves in service-learning through courses, seminars, and first-hand experiences in projects focused on high-need populations. The GW Noyce program provides stipends for students to work on service projects and earn service learning credits. Students learn innovative methods for teaching and learning that will benefit their own education at GW and beyond.

This flowchart signifies the two tracks of Pre-Noyce activities, as GW freshman/sophomore or a 1st/2nd-year community student.

The GW Noyce Scholarship provides funding for STEM students' who are committed to teaching in high-need secondary schools after graduation. Scholarships up to $20,000 per year will be available for juniors and seniors admitted into the GW Noyce program. For every year of scholarship received, students must teach two years in a high-need school. We work with the GW Teach program to provide relevant coursework, hands-on experience, and licensure for our students.

GW Noyce program is partially funded by the National Science Foundation's Robert Noyce Scholarship Program. More information about that program, as well as the ongoing collaborative efforts between the two programs, can be found on the NSF Website.
